Eileen Rivera is a New Yorker, born and bred. She earned a degree in Social Work from Rutgers-Newark and has made her home in New Jersey since her college years. The mother of two adult daughters, she has spent her professional years working with juveniles involved in the juvenile justice system.
With a thirst for all things Latino, she is an editor for Being Latino and UPLIFTT (United People for Latinos in Film, TV, and Theater) and has backed many organizations and independent productions with her time, her presence, and her hard earned cash. Her personal blog, Mariposa Social, chronicles slices of her life as a social butterfly in the New York metropolitan area.
